REGULATION |
| Art. 1) |
The competition is open to conductors of both sexes and all nationalities born after 1st January 1971. |
| Art. 2) |
Application forms must be delivered no later than by the
31st May 2010 ( the postmark is considered as valid) to:

The application form (filled-in
in capital letters) must include the following documents:
a) a copy of a valid identity card or passport; b) Curriculum Vitae et Studiorum (translated
into Italian and English); c) receipt of the payment of
the registration fee of € 200 (net of expenses and
commissions) to be addressed to:

THE REGISTRATION FEE SHALL NOT BE REIMBURSED UNDER ANY
CIRCUMSTANCES. |
| Art. 4) |
The submission of the application to the competition
implies the acceptance of all the norms of the Regulations.
The applicants who, for whatever reason, breach any of the
regulation norms, will be ousted from the competition. |
| Art. 5) |
Should any complaints arise, the Italian text shall be
the one to be considered as legally binding. Should any
disputes arise, they will be administered by the Law Court
in Trento. |

TRIALS |
| Art. 6) |
The competition consists of 4 trials which will be held in Trento at Auditorium S. Chiara: TRIAL WITH TWO PIANOS- FIRST TRIAL WITH AN ORCHESTRA - SECOND TRIAL WITH AN ORCHESTRA - FINAL TRIAL WITH AN ORCHESTRA.
The applicants will be admitted into the competition according to the documentation submitted. The Jury will preliminarily decide on the admission of the applicants to the First Selection in the Competition. These assessments and decisions will be final. The list of the applicants admitted will be published on the Associazione Pedrotti website by June15th 2010.
The successful applicants will be notified via e-mail, by June 30th 2010, and will get all necessary information on their stay in Trento.

| Art. 7) |
The applicants must appear at the Auditorium S. Chiara on the day set for the First Trial at the time notified to them bringing with them their identity card/passport and their music material (scores). |
| Art. 8) |
The candidates admitted to the trials with orchestra are entitled to free accommodation and expenses from September 29th for as long as they remain in the competition. No board and lodging expenses will be paid to those applicants who are not admitted to the trials with orchestra. |

COMPETITION PHASES AND SCHEDULE |
| Art. 9) |
in the TRIAL WITH TWO PIANOS the candidates may be questioned on subjects pertaining musical culture topics and orchestra conducting technique. Further, they will conduct, in the presence of the Jury, one or more pieces (at the Jury’s discretion) from the following:

In the FINAL TRIAL WITH ORCHESTRA the admitted candidates will conduct in the presence of the Jury, as final rehearsal, the pieces chosen by the Jury for the Final Concert. |

Concert with ORT – Orchestra Regionale Toscana
Concert with Orchestra dei Pomeriggi Musicali di Milano

Under particular circumstances the concerts with Orchestra Haydn di Bolzano e Trento, ORT – Orchestra Regionale Toscana and Orchestra dei Pomeriggi Musicali may be awarded also to the second and third prize winners.
Cash prizes are considered gross as per the Italian law.
Every candidate to receive an award will be given the opportunity to get in contact with the President, Dominique Meyer (General director of Wiener Staatsoper) and the Vice-President of the Jury Bernd Loebe (General directorof the Opera of Frankfurt) and be asked to assist M° Gustav Kuhn on the occasion of the Tiroler Festspiele Erl.
Further special prizes will also be awarded.

| Art. 15) |
The cultural Association “Antonio Pedrotti” reserves the right to record (or let third parties record) – sound and images – the complete competition, with no right by any candidate to claim for any payment for the dissemination of his/her performance in the Competition. |
NOTE ON PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA In compliance with Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 the candidates personal information is recorded by the cultural Association “Antonio Pedrotti” by hand and through IT means and will be treated in compliance with the norm cited above exclusively for the management of the competition and for the awarding of any assignment linked to the prizes, if the case. This data will not be disclosed to third parties (except if required by the law). It is compulsory to submit the data in order to enable the assessment of the admission criteria, otherwise applicants will be excluded from the competition. The interested party is entitled to enforce his/her rights at any time in compliance with the provisions of Art. 7 of the Italian Legislative Decree 196/03 (data access, data correction, updating, integration, cancellation of wrong data or data recorded in breach of the law, right to oppose data processing for legitimate reasons).Those rights shall be enforced on the cultural Association “Antonio Pedrotti” c/o Centro Culturale Santa Chiara - Via S. Croce, 65 38122 Trento (Italy), as data holder. The responsible person for the data processing is the President of the cultural Association “Antonio Pedrotti”. The submission of the application form implies the expression of the consent by the applicant to his/her data processing.
